We’ve seen a rise in fraud cases where scammers are convincing ANNA customers to share one-time-passcodes. This allows scammers to add your card to their digital wallet; they can then use Apple Pay or Google Pay on their phone to access the money in your account.
Never share your codes
Scammers can be very convincing. The key thing is to never give anyone any codes or passwords that you receive via text or push notification. No matter how much the person asking might demand or try to convince you they are from ANNA or the police. We will never ask you for that information; its private to you and keeping it private keeps your money safe.

What should you look out for?
Watch out for unexpected messages about your bank account or digital wallet, especially if you haven't used it recently.
Fraudsters are now impersonating banks by sending convincing text messages saying there’s a problem with your digital wallet, or that fraud has been noticed on the account, or that your account has been suspended or blocked.
They might well also ask you to share a code from a text message, saying that they need it to confirm they’re talking to the right person.
What should you do?
You should never share any codes sent to you by text, and you should always question messages with links asking for personal or financial details. Especially if you’re being asked for things like your name, address, card details, sort code, account number or your balance.
Don’t reply, don’t open any links and don’t enter any details
Never give anyone any one time passcodes, or verification codes. No matter how convincing they may be – these codes are private security codes, designed to keep you safe
